Mindfulness Courses in Hertford
The CBT-Partnership offers mindfulness courses. Courses are limited to 12 participants. By attending and completing the course you will learn to apply mindfulness in your daily life. For participants who have completed a course, there is also the weekly MINDFULNESS practice.
The Mindfulness Course: part 1
The Mindfulness Course: part 1
This course will teach you the basics of MINDFULNESS. You will learn about your personal roadblocks to ‘being in the moment’. You will furthermore recognise how you make it possible to build up stress and tension in your life. Basic MINDFULNESS strategies like recognising your own AUTOMATIC PILOT, dealing with BARRIERS to mindful living and MINDFUL BREATHING form the core of these four sessions.
These are the main topics of the first four sessions:
- Session 1 - Recognising your own automatic pilot
- Session 2 - Dealing with Barriers
- Session 3 - Mindfulness of breathing
- Session 4 - Staying present
The Mindfulness Course: part 2
This part focuses on teaching you the application of MINDFULNESS in daily life. In these four sessions you will learn how to distance yourself from upsetting and stressful events, how to adjust unhelpful thinking and how to introduce the concept of ‘MENTAL HYGIENE’ in your life. This important concept focuses on personal responsibility for contentment and happiness, e.g. if we want to achieve fulfillment we will have to work at that on a daily basis.
These are the main topics of these four sessions:
- Session 1 - Allowing & letting be
- Session 2 - Thoughts are not facts
- Session 3 - How can I best take care of myself
- Session 4 - Maintaining a balance in life

The MINDFULNESS PRACTICE
The Mindfulness practice is a weekly session, where people who have completed one or both mindfulness courses can practice mindfulness under the guidance of a senior practitioner of the CBT-Partnership. This hour long session will boost your mindfulness skills and will set you up for a restful week.

- Mindfulness course: £ 300

Depression, demands, happiness.
In the autumn we will once again be offering a Mindfulness course. Participants will learn to use mindfulness techniques to develop peace of mind and keep psychological problems at bay.
