After gaining a B.Sc First Class Honours Degree in Psychology through the Open University in 2001, Lyn began her career in forensic psychology, specifically following her interest in working with patients with complex, long standing mental health problems who had also offended. This led to her working in a private medium secure environment with patients suffering from schizophrenia. Subsequently, she moved to the NHS High Security Hospital Estate at Broadmoor Hospital where she delivered CBT to male patients who were accommodated within the Dangerous and Severe Personality Disorder Service, by virtue of having been diagnosed with personality disorder/s and psychopathy.
She completed her Masters Degree in Forensic Psychology in 2004 and has also worked for H.M. Prison Service, specifically with juvenile offenders aged 15-18 years.
She finds clinical work highly rewarding due to the rate at which client's make progress and still retains a particular interest in helping those with enduring and challenging personality difficulties.
